What is an entry level insurance job?

Entry level insurance jobs are positions within insurance companies or agencies that are designed for individuals who are new to the industry or have limited professional experience. These roles often include positions such as customer service representative, claims processor, sales agent trainee, or underwriting assistant. Entry level insurance jobs provide on-the-job training and opportunities to learn about insurance products, policies, and regulations. They are a great starting point for those interested in building a long-term career in the insurance field.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an entry level insurance professional?

To thrive as an Entry Level Insurance professional, you typically need foundational knowledge of insurance products, strong analytical skills, and at least a high school diploma or bachelor's degree. Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software, basic data entry systems, and, in some cases, an insurance license are important technical qualifications. Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset help you build trust and effectively communicate with clients. These skills and qualities are crucial for providing accurate information, ensuring compliance, and delivering exceptional service in a competitive industry.

What are some typical challenges faced by entry level insurance professionals, and how can they be overcome?

Entry level insurance professionals often encounter challenges such as understanding complex policy details, managing a high volume of client inquiries, and achieving sales or service targets. To overcome these, it's important to proactively seek guidance from experienced colleagues, participate in available training programs, and stay organized with clear documentation. Building strong communication skills and maintaining a customer-focused mindset can also help in managing client relationships and meeting performance goals.

How to get a job in entry level insurance with no experience?

Entry level insurance positions often require a high school diploma or equivalent and good communication skills. Candidates can improve their chances by obtaining relevant certifications such as the Property and Casualty license and gaining knowledge of insurance policies through online courses or training programs. Internships or volunteering can also provide valuable experience and demonstrate interest in the field.

What do entry level insurance agents do?

Entry level insurance agents assist clients in selecting insurance policies, explain coverage options, and process applications. 100% Remote | United States & Canada | Full-Time | Paid Weekly | Training Provided | No Cold Calling

A Fresh Start Can Lead Somewhere

Looking for a remote position where you can build useful skills, work with people, and have an opportunity to grow?

AO Globe Life is seeking Entry Level Customer Sales Representatives to join our team. This opportunity is designed for individuals who are personable, organized, and ready to learn a new professional skill set.

You don't need a background in insurance or years of sales experience. You'll receive training on our products, systems, and client process so you can become comfortable handling conversations and supporting customers.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll work with clients who have already expressed interest in receiving information. Your job is to make those conversations productive and helpful.

Your day may include:

  • Meeting with clients through scheduled phone and virtual appointments
  • Asking questions to understand their needs and priorities
  • Explaining available benefit solutions in a clear, easy-to-follow way
  • Responding to client questions and helping them evaluate their options
  • Keeping detailed and accurate records of client interactions
  • Following up with clients when additional information is required
  • Using company systems to manage appointments and client information
  • Attending team meetings, training sessions, and coaching
  • Building your confidence and effectiveness through hands-on experience

What You'll Get From the Role

Starting something new is easier when you aren't expected to figure everything out alone.

You'll have access to:

  • 100% remote work
  • Structured training from the beginning
  • Ongoing coaching and team support
  • Qualified leads provided
  • No cold calling
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Weekly commission-based pay
  • Performance-based earning potential
  • Opportunities to develop professionally
  • A team environment focused on learning and improvement

You May Be a Good Fit If You...

  • Enjoy talking with and helping people
  • Can communicate clearly over the phone or virtually
  • Are dependable and able to manage your own schedule
  • Pay attention to details
  • Are comfortable learning new software and processes
  • Respond well to coaching and constructive feedback
  • Can stay organized while handling multiple client conversations
  • Are interested in developing sales and customer relationship skills

Experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, call centers, education, administration, sales, or other people-focused roles is welcome, but previous industry experience is not required.

Why This Could Be Your Next Move

A remote job can offer more than the ability to work from home.

The right opportunity can help you become a stronger communicator, improve your ability to work independently, learn how to handle professional client conversations, and develop skills that can support your future career.

If you're ready to learn, willing to put in the work, and want a position where your development matters, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
