Job description

NIS Express is now accepting applications from entry level CDL-A drivers for dry van routes in Texas, mainly east of I-35.

If you hold a valid Class A CDL and recently completed truck driving school, this is your next step.

HOW TRAINING WORKS

You are assigned a personal trainer on day one. For 4 to 6 weeks you run real freight together on real routes, earning $650 a week while you learn. You get evaluated along the way and go solo only when you are ready.

What your trainer will cover:

  • Safe Class A tractor-trailer operation on real routes
  • ELD operation and hours-of-service compliance
  • Pre and post-trip inspection procedures
  • Dispatch communication and company road procedures

DAY TO DAY ON THE JOB

  • Operate a Class A tractor-trailer within all DOT regulations
  • Haul dry van freight mainly east of I-35
  • Bi-weekly home time
  • Hit delivery windows and maintain strong on-time performance
  • Keep ELD logs, DVIRs and all trip paperwork accurate and current
  • Complete thorough vehicle inspections before and after every shift
  • Stay in clear professional contact with dispatch and customers

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • $650 weekly during training
  • $1,000 weekly guaranteed for your first 3 months as a new driver
  • Average weekly pay of $1,400 to $1,800 once established on the road
  • Medical, dental and vision after 30 days
  • Company-paid life insurance and AD&D

  • PTO, paid holidays and paid orientation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Class A CDL license
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Clean driving record
