JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Ensures equipment availability for use by completing preventative maintenance schedules, installing component and part upgrades * Complete dry service on equipment to include lubrication of components, fluid checks and inspection of all hoses and belts * Complete wet service on equipment to include refilling fluids (engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, windshield fluid, etc) * Diagnosis electrical malfunctions for the purpose of determining needed repairs and/or replacements * Inspect, service and replace trailer parts, including tire checks * Maintain hub and axles and adjusting or replace when required * Service and repair the brake, electrical and hydraulic system * Repairs and/or replaces starters, alternators, and air pumps * Repairs and/or replaces water pumps and T-Stats * Ensure that equipment meets the U.S.

Department of Transportation road safety requirements * Compile inspection reports, documenting repairs and reporting all findings to management * Perform more extensive repairs to equipment with the supervision of a Maintenance Tech III * Have a sound understanding of repair tools, equipment, and testing machinery * Maintains tools, equipment and/or shop area for the purpose of ensuring the availability of tools and equipment, and safety within the workspace * May be required to cross train and perform other duties. QUALIFICATIONS * At least 2 years of semi-truck mechanic experience or equivalent combination of experience and education. * Excellent customer service skills * Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Demonstrated behaviors must reflect integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. * Awareness of operational safety and DOT requirements Physical Requirements * Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. * Must be able to access and navigate each department across facilities. * Must be able to verbally communicate effectively with others (in-person and via electronic devices). * Must have close visual acuity. The pay range for this position is $26.00-$31.00 per hour. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs.
