Job description

Scheduler: Aurora, Illinois
 
Our customer in Aurora, Illinois is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join their team. We’re recruiting a Scheduler to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Scheduler, you will support Production Planners with scheduling activities, production priorities, and manufacturing coordination to help meet customer requirements and operational goals.
 
Responsibilities of the Scheduler:
  • Assist with coordinating daily production schedules to support customer requirements and manufacturing priorities.
  • Monitor production progress and communicate schedule changes, delays, and potential issues to the Production Planner.
  • Assist in identifying material shortages, scheduling conflicts, work-center constraints, and production bottlenecks for review.
  • Update ERP/MRP systems with production schedules, job information, quantities, dates, and status changes as directed.
  • Maintain scheduling reports, production tracking tools, and planning spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
  • Assist with reviewing completed jobs and production records to ensure information is accurate and ready for work-order closure.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Inventory Control, Engineering, and Operations to obtain and communicate information needed by the Production Planner.
  • Track open production orders and follow up on outstanding items that may affect the schedule.
  • Prepare reports and provide scheduling information to Production Planners to support planning decisions.
  • Assist with analyzing schedule performance and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Perform other production planning and scheduling support activities as directed by the Production Planner or Production Management.
 
Scheduler Requirements and Qualifications:
  • 1–2 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, manufacturing coordination, or a related manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience in metal manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or a similar industrial environment is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of production planning, inventory control, manufacturing processes, and production flow.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems preferred.
  • Infor CSI (SyteLine) experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow established processes and work effectively under the direction.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
 
Pay for Scheduler: Starting at $21/hour.
