Job description

Position Summary
Polaris Sensor Technologies, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team developing software for electro-optical and sensor systems. This role is ideal for candidates early in their career who are eager to learn, grow, and build a long-term future with Polaris.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop software interface libraries and applications for electro-optical systems
  • Create data analysis and calibration tools for optical data
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues
  • Document work in program reports
Required Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Programming experience in C++ (Windows and Linux environments)
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Initiative and eagerness to learn new concepts and technologies
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Familiarity with C# and embedded programming
  • Python and Avalonia UI framework
  • Guidance or navigation systems (IMU, INS, GNSS)
  • Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS)
  • Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) interfaces
  • Neural networks, artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML)
  • Product development and transition experience
  • Image processing (OpenCV, CUDA)
  • FPGA programming
  • Systems integration or tracking applications
  • AI/ML concepts
