Staff Accountant Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day accounting activities, including close processes, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance across multiple entities.
- Perform cash, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations and prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
- Assist with accruals, fixed asset accounting, intercompany reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Monitor daily cash positions, review banking fees, and support treasury reporting.
- Assist with sales and use tax and property tax compliance requirements while maintaining supporting documentation.
- Process and review vendor invoices, verify coding and approvals, respond to vendor inquiries, and support monthly vendor statement reconciliations.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation, adhere to internal controls, and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, efficiency, and accuracy.
