Job description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Service Journeyman to join our team. As an HVAC Service Journeyman, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential customers. Your expertise in HVAC service and your ability to troubleshoot complex issues will ensure efficient and effective solutions for our clients.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and diagnose issues with HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and replacing filters, lubricating components, and checking system performance.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or wiring in HVAC systems, including compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, valves, and controls.
  • Test HVAC systems for proper operation after repairs or maintenance work is completed.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify system malfunctions and inefficiencies.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates and timeframes for repairs or replacements.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their HVAC service needs and address their concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain the diagnosis and recommended solutions.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and follow all applicable codes and regulations.
  • Keep accurate records of service visits, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.

Requirements:

  • Valid HVAC Service Journeyman license/certification.
