About the Role:

We are seeking HVAC Mechanics for ongoing projects near the Tyson's Corner and McLean, VA areas. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC equipment to provide comfortable and safe indoor environments. The ideal candidate has proven experience with installing and maintaining VRV systems.

Pay: Starts at $38 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship.
  • Proven experience working with VRV systems.
  • Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerants.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical diagrams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Daikin HVAC Certification
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of energy management systems and building automation controls.
  • Additional certifications such as NATE (North American Technician Excellence) or HVAC Excellence.
  • Strong background in commercial and industrial HVAC systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, ventilation units, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and manufacturer manuals to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
  • Maintain accurate service records, document repairs, and communicate effectively with supervisors and clients regarding system status and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies during all maintenance and repair activities.
