Job description

Summary:

The HVAC Journeyman’s primary responsibilities will involve performing preventative maintenance, but you will also install duct, compression, and other HVAC systems in new buildings. We may also have you work with apprentices looking to gain on-the-job experience.


We have IMMEDIATE openings on the following locations:


Madisonville

Eddyville

Hendersonville

Owensboro


Essential Job Duties:

  • Repair malfunctioning HVAC systems

  • Inspect functioning systems for potential issues

  • Install new HVAC systems in new build or renovation projects

  • Follow blueprints from other HVAC specialists or design your own systems

  • Test and troubleshoot your installations after completion

  • Assists our HVAC installation team with disconnect replacements, wire pulls, and other electrical items as needed

  • Uses a variety of tools and techniques to repair and maintain HVAC systems to determine the best way to install new HVAC systems

  • Follows all safety requirements and OSHA guidelines while you work

  • Completes sold services using protective measures to keep customer’s home clean and undamaged

  • Answers any questions that our customers may have about their HVAC systems and components while striving for customer satisfaction

  • Performs other duties as requested


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proficient in HVAC systems

  • Ability to use a wide variety of tools and techniques

  • Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics

  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas related to policies and procedures and provide guidance to management and employees, verbally and in writing

  • Ability to follow safety standards

  • Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Regular and reliable attendance


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Journeyman HVAC license

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Possess a valid driver’s license

  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship


Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Any air conditioning certifications


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to operate tablet, mobile phone and other field equipment as needed

  • Ability to read, write, speak, hear, see, think, communicate, concentrate, learn, and work

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs repeatedly during work hours

  • Ability to climb up and down ladders and/or step stools repeatedly during work hours

  • Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time during work hours

  • Ability to work in small and confined dark spaces such as crawl spaces, attics, etc.

  • Ability to work in a wide range of temperatures (indoor/outdoor)

  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time between job sites and customer locations

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
