Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced HVAC Delivery Driver to join our team. The HVAC Delivery Driver will be responsible for safely transporting HVAC equipment and materials to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, and maintaining a high level of customer service. The ideal candidate should have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and a strong understanding of HVAC equipment and components.

Qualifications

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and trucks, to deliver HVAC equipment, parts, and materials to designated locations.
  • Plan delivery routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries and optimize fuel efficiency.
  • Load and unload HVAC equipment and materials onto and off the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
  • Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and invoices before departure, and upon arrival, obtain necessary signatures or confirmations from recipients.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving any delivery-related issues that may arise.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brakes, to ensure the safe and smooth operation of the vehicle.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations to maintain a safe driving record and promote a safe work environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle, ensuring that all equipment and materials are properly stored and secured during transportation.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate deliveries, restock inventory, and maintain accurate records of delivered items.
  • Assist in loading and unloading inventory in the warehouse as needed.
  • Report any vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or incidents to the appropriate supervisor or manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications, Attributes, Education, and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably in the HVAC industry, is a plus.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy HVAC equipment and materials.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing delivery orders and documentation.
  • Knowledge of local traffic laws and safe driving practices.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • Must have experience driving 18' box truck and or 24' stake bed.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) frequently.
