Job description

Job Summary We're looking for an experienced HVAC Technician with expertise in commercial systems to join our service team. In this role, you'll handle complex diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, installs, and system optimization across large commercial and industrial facilities. The right candidate brings strong technical instincts, a safety-first mindset, and a track record of delivering quality service.
Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, maintain, and install a variety of commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Commission and start up commercial HVAC systems, optimizing for peak efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and controls-related issues.
  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, pumps, boilers, and supporting equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
  • Keep accurate, timely documentation of all service work, repairs, and recommendations.
  • Communicate clearly with customers about system conditions, findings, and next steps.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements, EPA standards, and internal company policies.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and junior technicians when applicable.

Required Qualifications
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification.
  • 3 or more years of commercial HVAC experience.
  • Familiarity with VRF systems.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting capability across both low and high voltage systems.
  • Comfortable working independently with limited oversight.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Factory certifications or formal training on major chiller manufacturers.
  • Comfortable with installation, start up and commissioning.
