Position Type: Full-time Overview:
Proksi Systems is hiring an entry-level Junior Web Application Developer / System Administrator for US Navy’s AEGIS Program. Duties: • Assist in the design, development, and deployment of web applications supporting Navy AEGIS operations. • Collaborate with senior developers to implement new features and enhancements. • Respond to user support requests, troubleshoot application and system issues, and provide clear, timely solutions. • Help maintain and enhance existing applications by resolving bugs and implementing user-driven requests. • Participate in regular feature demos and presentations, gathering feedback to support continuous improvement. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established standards. • Support testing, performance tuning, and system optimization tasks. • Communicate clearly and professionally with users, teammates, and stakeholders. • Application support: Monitor web application performance, troubleshooting issues, and assist with application deployments. • User support: Provide technical support to end-users, manage user accounts, and set up access permissions.
Qualifications: • Minimum: ◦ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related quantitative field, such as engineering or mathematics, or equivalent experience. ◦ Active Secret security clearance ◦ Familiarity of performing routine updates, security patching, and system upgrades to ensure systems are secure and up to date. ◦ Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript. ◦ Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL. ◦ Strong written and verbal communication skills. ◦ Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II requirements, such as CCNA, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP. • Preferred: • Familiarity with Adobe ColdFusion or another backend language (e.g. Go, Python, Java). • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). • Exposure to system administration tasks such as server configuration/maintenance. • Understanding of IIS or other web server configurations. • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash. • Updates and patches: Performed routine updates, security patching, and system upgrades to ensure systems are secure and up to date. • Any of the following certifications: A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Network+ CE, SSCP.
