Job description

Conducts performance tests on new and returned instruments to evaluate their sound quality and identify defects upon arrival and prior to shipping.
Repair and recondition new or used instruments as required. Polish instruments using rags, compounds, buffing wheels, and burnishing tools to return instruments to sellable stock.
Record and enter serial numbers and other instrument data into inventory software for site exposure.
Performs customer returns and disposition of returned goods and grade them appropriately for the Open Box Program.
Work with vendors to obtain additional and replacement parts for instruments.
Other duties as assigned, such as maintaining current product knowledge on new developments in the industry.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & SPECIAL ATTRIBUTES
Associate's Degree preferred, or 2 years equivalent experience
Apprenticeship or a diploma for an accredited repair school
Entry level, zero years of relevant experience
Intermediate knowledge of guitar and bass set up and repair
