Role Summary
FP Movement is seeking a highly creative and motivated Entry-Level Apparel Graphic Designer to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the creation of original graphic artworks, prints, and embellishments for our activewear and lifestyle categories. You will support the Senior and Associate Designers throughout the entire design lifecycle-from initial trend research and seasonal concepting to creating CADs and finalizing tech packs.
The ideal candidate has a fresh perspective, a strong eye for typography and layout, a passion for the wellness/activewear market, and a deep understanding of the FP Movement customer.

  • Artwork Creation: Assist in designing original graphic artwork, placement prints, seamless patterns, and typography treatments specifically geared toward performance and lifestyle apparel.
  • Trend & Concept Research: Support the design team by researching macro and micro trends in activewear, wellness, graphics, and color. Help build physical and digital mood boards for seasonal kickoff presentations.
  • CADs & Tech Packs: Generate accurate CADs to communicate scale and print placements on garments. Assist in building clear, concise tech packs for graphics and embellishments to be sent out to vendors and factories.
  • Color & Strike-offs: Collaborate with the color and product development teams to provide colorway options. Help review and log incoming strike-offs, lab dips, and bulk fabric submits to ensure artwork is executed accurately.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner smoothly with apparel designers, technical design, product development, and merchandising teams to ensure all graphics are on-brand, cost-effective, and trend-appropriate.
  • Organization: Maintain an organized digital workspace with clear naming conventions for all art files. Keep track of physical samples, strike-offs, and development progress.

Role Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Fashion, Textiles, Illustration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience in graphic design or apparel graphics (internship experience in the fashion or activewear industry is highly preferred).
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Experience with hand-drawing, painting, Procreate, or AI creative platforms is a strong plus.
  • Design Aesthetic: A creative mindset with a portfolio demonstrating strong layout, typography, and illustration skills. Must have a clear understanding of the FP Movement aesthetic and the activewear competitive space.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of apparel construction, printing techniques (screen print, sublimation, heat transfer), and embroidery is preferred.
  • Work Style: Excellent communication skills, highly organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative team environment.
