Job description

Grain Operations | Seasonal

$18.00/ hour base pay. $27.00/ hour overtime rate

Position Overview:

We are seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to join our grain farm operations for the harvest season. The Seasonal Grain Operations Laborer will assist with daily grain handling, equipment operation, and general farm maintenance to support a safe, efficient, and productive harvest.

  • $18.00/ hour base pay
  • Mandatory 12-hour shifts, 7 days per week during peak season
  • Peak season September - November 12-hour shifts 6:45a-7:00p or 6:45p - 7:00a
  • Summer season Monday through Friday 7:00a -4:00p
  • Must be willing to work Mon-Sun, depending on weather and during peak season only
  • Must have a valid ID and your own transportation
  • Show up reliably to work daily
  • Work according to established safety rules and always wear safety gear
  • Lift 40 - 50 pounds

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate grain handling equipment such as augers, conveyors, and grain dryers.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks and grain carts.
  • Monitor and maintain grain quality during storage and handling.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Support general farm labor tasks as assigned, including light repairs, facility upkeep, and grounds maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Previous farm, agricultural, or warehouse experience preferred but not required; training provided.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, during peak harvest season. You could be working up to 80 hours in a week during peak season.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in varying weather conditions indoors and outdoors.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the job site. You must have a valid driver's license.
