Role: Robotics Technician 1 - Lab


Job Summary:

The Robotics Lab Technician (Tech 1) is a hands-on, entry-level role supporting our robotics engineering team. Working under engineer direction, the technician builds robotic systems from existing blueprints, operates hand and power tools, performs maintenance, inventories hardware, and records test data. It's an ideal fit for someone with solid mechanical aptitude who's comfortable with physical, task-oriented work and wants to build robotics experience.


Responsibilities

  • Test new hardware designs and record data.
  • In-depth troubleshooting on challenging and developing technologies.
  • Construct robotic systems or equipment using existing blueprints.
  • Write documentation and SOPs on systems and engineering constructs.
  • Track maintenance reports on robotic machinery.
  • Document robotics test procedures and results.
  • Aid engineers in the creation, arrangement, or use of robotic systems.
  • Organize and inventory incoming items and hardware.
  • Perform and maintain hardware systems while helping to develop SOPs.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools and other equipment as needed.


Qualifications

  • Hardware and electrical experience required.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Learns quickly, solves problems, takes direction.
  • Aptitude and desire to learn more about robotics.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Previous robotics OR mechanical experience required.
