It is designed for individuals who are new to the field and want to start a career in GIS or enhance their qualifications for entry-level positions. Earning this certificate can help job seekers qualify for roles such as GIS technician, data analyst, or mapping assistant. Many community colleges and universities offer these programs, which can often be completed in a few months.
