Geotechnical Technician – Entry Level - Seasonal
AGAT Laboratories is currently seeking a Geotechnical Technician for an entry-level opportunity. The role is a junior level position and will assist in data collection and running of soil mechanic tests. This position will have an anticipated end date of March 26th 2027. 
What you will be doing:

  • Carry out lab testing according to standards and lab procedures.
  • Report lab observations to the geotechnical engineer.
  • Assist in maintenance and calibration of lab equipment.
What you bring to the table:
  • Able to work overtime, and weekends, if needed.
  • Ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strict adherence to procedure
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written communication
  • Experience working in a laboratory setting (not required but considered an asset)
  • Diploma from a recognized Polytechnical post-secondary institution.
  • 1+ years of soils, aggregate, and/or concrete testing experience (not required but considered an asset)

Work Environment:
This position requires a person to stand, sit and lift throughout the shift in a laboratory environment. Manual dexterity is required to perform repetitive tasks. Employees will interact with dust, noise and chemicals during shifts. PPE is required where applicable.
