An Entry Level Geotechnical Lab Technician assists in testing soil, rock, and construction materials to determine their physical and engineering properties. They work under the supervision of senior technicians or engineers, preparing samples, conducting laboratory tests such as compaction, moisture content, and grain size analysis, and recording results accurately. Their work supports civil engineering projects by ensuring materials meet required standards and specifications. This role often serves as a starting point for a career in geotechnical engineering or materials testing.
