Job Description:

The Cashier at The Golf Mart is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture that is consistent with Worldwide Golf's values, including the "Sure No Problem" philosophy, which has made Worldwide Golf what it is today. "Sure No Problem" means putting the customer first, and doing whatever we can to ensure a memorable and positive customer experience.

The Cashier is also responsible for all customer transactions, ensuring guest satisfaction at the service desk and proper control of all cash and media materials. Responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service, keeping in mind that the customer's last phase of their shopping experience is with the cashier.
  • Process information and merchandise through computer and POS register system.
  • Assist with floor moves, housekeeping, display maintenance and merchandise replenishment as needed.
  • Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of processing information and merchandise via computer and POS register system.
  • Freely access all areas of the store including sales floor, stock area and register area by standing, walking, stooping, crawling, climbing, crouching, kneeling and climbing a ladder; ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds at any given time.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

Qualifications Desired:

  • Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply! Any experience in a retail or golf environment is a plus.
  • General golf knowledge/background is a plus, but not required.

The hourly rate for this position is $16.90 - $18.00 per hour. Individual starting rate within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
