The Role: The Entry‑Level Electrical Distribution Engineer supports the planning, design, analysis, and delivery of electrical distribution projects under the guidance of experienced engineers. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assist with overhead and underground distribution system design.
  • Support engineering analysis using Milsoft WindMil, LightTable, and related software.
  • Assist with coordination studies, system modeling, and Arc Flash Hazard Analyses.
  • Participate in field inspections, data collection, staking, and make‑ready surveys.
  • Prepare drawings, calculations, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Learn and apply RUS, NESC, IEEE, ANSI, and NEC standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, senior engineers, utility clients, and design staff.
  • Support construction observation and project closeout activities.
  • Participate in technical training and work toward professional licensure.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • ABET‑accredited Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
  • 0–3 years of electrical distribution engineering experience.
  • Engineer Intern (EI) certification or ability to obtain preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Desire to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Exposure to electric utility projects.
  • Familiarity with WindMil or LightTable.
