Job Summary:
PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to support their Space IT Applications team in a classified IT operations environment. The role involves participating in the entire application deployment life-cycle, maintaining and debugging current systems, and acting as a liaison between classified and unclassified applications.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in the entire application deployment life-cycle including requirements, design, implementation, integration, installation, and test.
• Implement applications for deployment in a classified area.
• Maintain and debug current systems or interfaces.
• Act as liaison between classified programs and unclassified applications.
Qualifications:
Required:
• CompTIA Security+, other DoD IAT Level II certificate, or the ability to obtain one within 90 days
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex technical issues at the application layer
• Experience working with enterprise environments (compute, storage, network, database)
• Ability to learn technical skills quickly in a collaborative team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Track record of being a self-starter and strong independent contributor
• Ability to manage priorities and requirements and establish strong team relationships and deliver exceptional customer service
• Experience with databases (e.g. MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, SQL Server) and SQL
Preferred:
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps concepts
• Familiarity developing with scripting and/or programming languages such as C#, Java, Bash or equivalents
• Demonstrated experience deploying enterprise applications (Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Teamwork Cloud, Tableau)
• Experience with container development and orchestration with Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Ansible
• Familiarity with network attached storage systems
• Familiarity with managing compute environments (VMware, Hyper-V, OpenShift)
