Job Title

Project Details – Size, Scale, Scope?

Product-based now as an organization. They focus on integration and API – work on products that help with the API lifecycle – building platform for managing them, monitoring them, modernization consulting, event-based integration patterns, etc.

Products: API management service (Azure), API marketplace (Full-stack developers), API lifting/code generation, governance, consulting as SMEs in this area within the company (reviewing API designs, integration architecture, etc.) – providing foundational products & services – not the ones responsible for building most of the individual APIs etc. but providing standards and enabling the developers to build/use.

Will be blended into their 2 existing product teams that are internal versus being completely separate and report in through their product owners but looking to have resources as well as thought leadership and ideas from the vendor.

Azure services focus: Azure API management & developer platform.

API systems pretty much all in cloud – little to no on-prem anymore.

API Accelerator – Want Someone Who Understands More API Structure Etc. Overall And Are Enablement Team

Software engineer (API Developer): Co-develop with other teams as enabler as needed for API implementation so need to know how to build REST APIs etc. and what to use where etc.

They have tools used for code generation and linking (open specifications file opener for example and will tell you the rules you are not adhering to) and need to have developer skill set to develop in the capabilities allowed etc.

Must-haves: Heavy API development (REST) experience, Azure (functions), Microsoft background (.NET)

Nice to have: Python (a few teams use), NodeJS, other programming
