Job description


Entry Level position. 3-2-2-3 shift. Every other weekend off! $1,500 sign on bonus and Full benefits available the 1st month after hire date!


POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for supporting the finishing department with quality of the folding operation to meet customer specifications and production schedule. Responsible for placing paper board cartons into feeding machines. Picking up paper board materials and cartons from the end line and placing cartons into boxes.
JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:


• Complies with all company and department safety, quality, productivity and security procedures
• Ensures total quality of the job while in operation, performs quality checks and documentation
• Maintains the machine and area in accordance with the standard operation procedures
• Demonstrates competency in all basic folds: straight-line, lock-bottom, inner partition, etc.
• Observes automatic feeding, folding, and gluing of box blanks to detect machine malfunctions

• Reviews palletizing specifications from job jackets and follows directions

• Supply feed section of equipment with carton blanks enabling gluer to maintain a continuous run
• Visually inspect cartons before packing into corrugate boxes, ensuring accurate quantities are packed
• Palletizes finished product by stacking finished cases onto pallets
• Prints labels and visually inspects them for accuracy
• Performs housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
• Schedules are 12-hour shifts on alternate days with rotating weekends off
• Must be flexible; able to work other shifts, overtime and weekends when needed
• May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

Preferred Experience:


• High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred
• Work experience in manufacturing environment
• Previous experience as an operator working with high-speed equipment
• SAP experience


Required Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and follow instructions.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to frequently lift or carry 10 to 25 pounds and occasionally required to lift or carry 26 to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to regularly stand and use hands to fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
