Field Project Representative

Join R.J. Watson, a leading manufacturer of bridge components, and play a key role in supporting critical infrastructure projects across North America. As a Field Project Representative, you'll work directly with contractors, engineers, and project owners to ensure our products are installed correctly and perform as designed.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as R.J. Watson's on-site representative during product installations and field service visits.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to contractors and project teams.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate job site visits, schedules, and travel arrangements.
  • Inspect installations, troubleshoot field issues, and communicate solutions with internal teams.
  • Prepare detailed field reports with photos following each site visit.
  • Represent the company with professionalism while ensuring customer satisfaction and job site safety.
  • Travel approximately 60% throughout the U.S. and Canada, including occasional nights, weekends, and short-notice assignments.
  • Support Sales and Engineering with customer follow-up, product feedback, demonstrations, and administrative tasks when not traveling.

Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 60%)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on active construction sites
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic hand tools
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Preferred
  • Associate degree or technical degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, field service, or mechanical work
  • Ability to read construction drawings or technical documents

Compensation
  • Base Salary: $60,000-$70,000 annually
  • Travel Incentive: Earn an additional $500 for each qualifying trip to a customer job site, plus reimbursement of approved business travel expenses.
  • Actual compensation is based on experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location.
