Job description

Note: This is a camp job with a fly-in and fly-out option 14/14. to the Wood Buffalo region. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in ANSUL Fire Suppression Systems and HVAC.

The wage rate will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated skill level.

Ward’s has been in business for over twenty years and operates primarily in Alberta and British Columbia, Canada. Its workforce is highly skilled and can attend to just about any need that arises in the equipment fire protection, hydraulic services, and heavy equipment parts and service arenas.

Job Summary:
We are seeking Fire Suppression Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate will install, inspect, and maintain fire suppression, lubrication, and HVAC systems on off-road mining and forestry equipment, such as dozers, graders, haul trucks, shovels, etc.

Duties: Provide fire protection system, lubrication system service, and HVAC system service including but not limited to:

· Competently and diligently carry out all fire suppression, lubrication, and HVAC maintenance activities on customer equipment, including the execution of recalls, upgrades, and updates within the stipulated time

· Install and troubleshoot the automatic grease system.

· Repair, Install, Troubleshoot, Recharge of off-road Fire Suppression Systems

· Perform discharge investigations

. Submit records of the work performed: Duly filled PM Check Sheet, work report, and LEMs

Requirements:

· Mechanical aptitude is a requirement.

· Experience with ANSUL Fire Supression Equipment is a requirement.

· Must be well-versed with hand tools.

· Electrical troubleshooting an asset

· Physically able to climb, carry, and lift 50 lb.

. Physically and mentally capable of performing all duties in a safe and professional manner

· Driver's license with a clean driver abstract

These positions require drug/alcohol testing and security clearance as a condition of employment.
