Ardurra is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team in Meridian, ID.
Primary Function:
Ardurra is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team for the summer. As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will support engineering assignments that contribute to the planning, design, and construction of a wide range of civil engineering projects, from site development and stormwater design to transportation, utilities, and community infrastructure. This internship is designed to give you exposure to real world engineering work, build your technical skills, and help you explore a future career in the civil engineering industry.
Primary Duties:
  • Assists with the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, including roadways, drainage systems, utilities, and site development.
  • Utilizes CAD software and other engineering tools to create plan sheets, details, and figures.
  • Assists in preparing technical specifications, engineering reports, and cost estimates.
  • Performs material quantity take-offs and contact vendors to gather budgetary pricing.
  • Reviews engineering drawings within defined limits and assist with quality checks.
  • Conducts field inspections, performs field tests, and collects project-related data.
  • Processes, analyzes, and documents data to support engineering design and decision-making.
  • Works closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, project managers, architects, contractors, and public agencies.
  • Participates in project meetings and support problem-solving discussions.
  • Assists with project documentation, permitting packages, and technical memoranda.
  • Provides miscellaneous support tasks to assist project teams as needed.

Education, Certification and Experience Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or GIS applications is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and work ethic
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Team-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work with a team of professionals and independently
