Goldbelt Taku is accelerating healthcare delivery and providing superior force health readiness across the military, federal, and civilian landscapes. Goldbelt Glacier is committed to providing transformative and comprehensive health operational capabilities to support customers across scientific, clinical, technological, and program management areas.
Summary:
The Junior Front End Developer supports the development, implementation, and improvement of user-facing components across Military-Civilian Transition Office's (MCTO) online platforms. Under the direction of the senior software developer and the Program Manager, this position focuses on building responsive, accessible, and performant front-end features that support capabilities for military Service members, families, volunteers, and program stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop and maintain user-facing features for MCTO web platforms, including interfaces, survey and evaluation forms, and reporting dashboards
  • Ensure all developed and maintained web interfaces are 100% compatible with current mobile devices
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and back-end developers to translate program requirements into functional front-end solutions
  • Support integration of CMS capabilities into MCTO websites to enable designated Government administrators to create and manage web content
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist with bug tracking and remediation
  • Contribute to documentation of front-end components, UI changes, and configuration updates
  • Adhere to DoW ASD STIG configuration requirements and OWASP secure coding fundamentals

Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and at least one modern front-end framework or language (Flutter/Dart, React, Vue.js, or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts to support data-driven front-end features
  • Familiarity with translating stakeholder business requirements into technical front-end solutions

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Technology, or a closely related field preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited institution
  • 0-2 years of professional or documented academic front-end development experience
  • Experience building and iterating on user-facing application features with a focus on usability and performance
  • Experience with issue/task tracking tools such as Git/GitHub, Azure DevOps, JIRA in an Agile environment
  • Exposure to front-end testing practices and quality assurance processes
  • Must obtain and maintain a Tier 3 (T3) background investigation in accordance with DoWI 5200.02
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a DoW Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Must complete all mandatory training within 30 calendar days of reporting for duty, including CUI, OPSEC, Privacy Act/PII, IT Security Awareness, and Insider Threat Awareness training

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Python for scripting, data processing, or API-based front-end integration
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts including NLP, logistic regression, or scikit-learn, supporting analytics-adjacent UI features
  • Demonstrated ability to build cross-platform mobile applications (Flutter or comparable framework)
  • Experience with Agile sprint planning, stakeholder collaboration, and technical documentation
  • Experience integrating analytics or feedback loops into application interfaces

Pay and Benefits
The annual salary for this position is $75,000.
