Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Installation Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the professional installation, service, and maintenance of integrated fire and security systems, including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and fire alarms. This is a hands-on position ideal for individuals with technical aptitude and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, program, test, and troubleshoot a wide range of low voltage systems, including fire alarms, intrusion alarms, CCTV surveillance, and access control systems
  • Pull, route, terminate, and label low-voltage cabling in accordance with blueprints and installation standards
  • Perform inspections and complete annual fire alarm certification tests per NFPA and local codes
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system configurations
  • Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and other trades on new construction and retrofit projects
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, safety regulations, and company policies
  • Provide exceptional customer service and represent the company professionally on-site
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electronics or low-voltage systems a plus
  • Familiarity with tools and materials used in the low-voltage industry
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Comfortable working on construction sites and adhering to job site safety protocols
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced, evolving technical environment

Work Requirements

  • Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, with additional hours as needed to meet business demands. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support time-sensitive procurement activities or vendor engagements.
  • Ability to work with hand tools, meters, and other necessary industry-related equipment
  • Ability to climb ladders and operate lifts
  • Ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds

Salary: $18-$25/hr - based on experience
