Commercial Fire Alarm & Security Installation Technician

Location: Georgia, 30314

Travel Required: Extensive Nationwide Travel (2-4 Weeks at a Time)

Compensation: $25-$45/hr (DOE) + Weekly Pay + Per Diem + Company-Paid Benefits

Our client is seeking experienced Commercial Fire Alarm & Security Installation Technicians to join a growing national team. If you have a strong background installing commercial fire alarm systems and security systems, enjoy traveling, and want to work for a company that values its employees, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a full-time travel position supporting commercial and retail projects throughout the United States. Candidates should be self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards.

What You'll Do
  • Install commercial fire alarm, CCTV, and intrusion/security systems.
  • Run and terminate low-voltage cabling in commercial environments.
  • Install cable supports, raceways, j-hooks, and perform limited conduit work.
  • Read blueprints, floor plans, and installation drawings.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and verify proper operation of installed systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed work.
  • Follow NFPA standards, customer requirements, and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Work closely with project managers and installation teams to complete projects on schedule.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of commercial fire alarm installation experience.
  • 2+ years of commercial security installation experience, including CCTV and intrusion systems.
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting commercial low-voltage systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
  • Ability to travel for 2-4 weeks at a time nationwide.
  • Reliable transportation during the initial training period.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NICET Certification (Level II or higher)
  • State Fire Alarm License(s)
  • Experience with multiple fire alarm and security manufacturers
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72
  • Experience with conduit installation and commercial cabling infrastructure
