Job description

Applied Technical Services, LLC ("ATS" or the "Company") is a leading provider of critical testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services. ATS was founded in 1967 and is headquartered in Marietta, GA. Today the Company employs nearly 2,100 team members in over 95 locations across the United States.

Summary: ATS is seeking a full-time NAS-410 Level II PT/MT/UTT /ET (multiple NAS-410 certs preferred) Technician and NDT trained or prior military NDI/NDT Inspectors to support our Huntsville, AL office. Must be local or willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities/Duties: NAS-410 Level II PT/MT/UTT/ET
  • Perform NDT examinations of materials in accordance with procedures, codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Certify as a NAS-Level II PT/MT/UTT/ET Technician
  • Interface with department managers and clients to determine scope of work and work priorities in order to meet customer expectations.
  • Be able to prepare written instructions and to organize and report the results of examinations.
  • Work independently and support team members. Perform other job-related tasks as needed and assigned by supervisors.

Entry Level NDT with approved formal classroom hours in MT/PT/UT are encouraged to apply
Prior military with aviation NDI/NDT training and experience are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Certifiable to NAS-410 Level II PT/MT/UTT and/or ET
  • Entry Level NDT Trainees MUST HAVE approved formal classroom hours in NDT
  • Documented classroom hours in each method plus OJT/Experience Hours for each method for Level II re-certification
  • Additional NDT Certifications or at least experience in RT preferred.

  • Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
  • Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Work Conditions:
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
  • Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
  • Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
  • Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.
  • Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
  • Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
