Job description

Description
About the Role
MSE is seeking an Extruder Technician to join our Production team, reporting to the Plant Lead. This is an entry-level role with a clear path for growth: the position spans four progressive classes, giving you room to build real skills in plastic extrusion technology over time. You'll help operate our extrusion machinery, check product quality, and keep production moving safely and efficiently.
Schedule
• 4-crew rotating shift schedule
• 12-hour shifts: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. or 8:00 p.m.-8:00 a.m.
• Rotates from days to nights (and vice versa) every 28 days
• Seven-day work cycle with alternating 36-hour and 48-hour weeks
• Some overtime required
What You'll Do
• Safely and efficiently operate extrusion machinery to keep film production running to spec
• Check film products for quality, including dimensions, strength, and visual appearance
• Remove completed rolls from the production line and transport them to pallets for further processing
• Wrap, label, and prepare completed orders for shipping
• Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and the work area
• Work closely with teammates and supervisors to hit production goals while keeping safety and quality top of mind
What You'll Need
• No high school diploma or GED required
• Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is a big plus, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Comfortable communicating and collaborating closely with a team
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and stand, walk, and bend throughout the shift
• Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow all workplace safety procedures
Why MSE
• Values-driven culture: everything we do is grounded in STACS - Servant Leadership, Trust, Accountability, Collaboration, and Stewardship - which shape how our teams work together and treat one another every day
• Room to grow: this role offers a defined path through four progressive skill classes, so you can build your experience and pay over time
• Meaningful work: the rolls you produce and quality-check go directly into products our customers depend on
• Stability and investment: we're a growing manufacturer that invests in our people, our equipment, and our processes for the long term
MSE is an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, gender, religion, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, disability, age, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by law.
