Job Description

Role Summary:

NBC Sports connects people to their sports passions through premier live events, insightful studio shows, compelling original programming, innovative technology, and immersive experiences. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced team and make a positive impact on the people who bring this content to life.

We are adding an HR Coordinator to our Sports Division in Stamford, CT. In this role, you will provide day-to-day HR operations support and help drive HR projects across hiring, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, talent attraction, and talent development.

Responsibilities:

HR Processes & Data:

  • Process HRIS transactions (hires, personal data changes, promotions, terminations, etc.)
  • Serve as primary user for all HR systems: SAP, SmartRecruiters, etc.
  • Run recurring and ad hoc reports and analyze HR metrics on attrition, performance, diversity, etc.
  • Partner with Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, and Finance to field questions and resolve day-to-day employee issues
  • Assist with annual processes (performance review process, salary planning, benefits open enrollment, etc.)
  • Stay current on new regulations, company policies, and procedures

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Prepare job descriptions for open positions and post roles via nbcunicareers.com
  • Facilitate the new hire onboarding process, including generating offer letters and processing background checks
  • Support SCORE onboarding activities by coordinating required documentation, tracking completion steps, and partnering with stakeholders to ensure timely new hire setup
  • Process new hires in SAP and complete I-9 verifications for new employees
  • Provide processing support for onboarding-related transactions, employee updates, and HR coordination needs to maintain accurate records and efficient workflows
  • Own assigned client groups entry level hiring in partnership with HR Lead
Qualifications

What youโ€™ll need:

  • 1+ years of work experience
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree OR equivalent work experience
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Useful experience:

  • Transactional experience using HR systems; SAP experience a plus
