As an Outside Plant (OSP) Engineer - Pole Fielder, you'll play a crucial role in our mission to expand and enhance our network services.
About the role
  • We are seeking a detail-oriented Outside Plant Engineer - Pole Fielder to perform field surveys, collect data, and support the design of telecommunications networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of utility poles, cable routes, and the standards for aerial and underground plant construction.

What you'll do
  • Conduct detailed field surveys to assess utility pole conditions, pole attachments, and cable routes.
  • Measure, photograph, and document pole data, including heights, clearances, and attachments.
  • Collaborate with design teams to develop efficient and cost-effective plans for network deployment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (NESC, NEC) and local regulations for pole attachments and construction.
  • Use tools such as GPS, GIS systems, and mapping software to capture and report field data.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or engineering degree preferred.
