Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (Entry-Level, Part-time)
Contractor - flexible schedule
Location: Parlin, NJ
Type: Contract
Compensation: $25 - $32 per hour
Contractor Work Model: 100% onsite work is required
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
We're seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team in Parlin, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or current Mechanical Engineer student with an interest in manufacturing, CAD, CNC programming, or machining-or someone with hands-on, self-taught CNC programming experience.
We're open to candidates with a 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, as well as individuals who have developed CNC programming skills through practical experience, trade work, or personal projects.
What we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent hands-on experience. Current Mechanical Engineering students or related field able to work 20 - 30 hours per week will be considered.
  • Interest or experience with CAD, machining, CNC programming, or machine shop operations such as milling, drilling, lathes, etc.
  • Familiarity with HAAS CNC lathes is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

Position Details:
  • Contract assignment expected to last 6-12 months
  • Flexible scheduling-we will consider full-time, part-time, or someone looking to supplement their current income ("moonlighting")
  • On-site position in Parlin, NJ
