Position Summary: A Plumbing Designer is responsible for designing basic building systems, preparing technical documents and performing engineering calculations in coordination with project teams.

As a Plumbing Designer you will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to our six market sectors, including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue. Within each sector, we seamlessly integrate our engineering knowledge with the in-the-field experience of our sister company,Henderson Building Solutions, to deliver a client experience unlike any other in the industry. Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs calculations and design basic engineering systems in collaboration with experienced design staff.
  • Prepares system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
  • Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
  • Prepares or modifies reports, plans, and designs for projects.
  • Supports business development or pursuit activities.
  • Participates in client, company and/or industry events to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Occasionally visits job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
  • Seeks to fill gaps in industry and/or discipline knowledge on a continuous basis.
  • Maintains knowledge of common industry software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of engineering (i.e.: mechanical, electrical, fire protection or architectural) and 1 year of experience, or 3 years of experience without degree required.
  • Basic proficiency in engineering design: basic knowledge of the A&E industry, codes, design guides and standards.
  • Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam Revu software preferred.
  • Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

New York Salary Range: $80,032 to $120,048

Los Angeles Salary Range: $76,096 to $114,144

Denver Salary Range: $72,160 to $108,240

Las Vegas Salary Range: $68,880 to $103,320
