Job description

Behavior Therapist (BT) — ABA Therapy

Starting at $24–$26/hr | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM– 4:30 PM | No Evenings or Weekends

Are you looking for a career where every day is a chance to make a real difference? One where you come home knowing that a child communicated something new, connected with a peer, or finally figured out something that used to feel impossible? That’s what working at ANNA feels like.

We provide neurodiversity-affirming, play-based therapy to autistic children under 6 across Massachusetts, using an approach called NDBI (Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Intervention). It follows each child’s lead, builds on their strengths, and happens in the context of real play and real life. It is joyful, purposeful work.

No experience in ABA? No problem. We will train you, support you, and invest in your growth from day one, including a funded path to BCBA certification for those who want it. If you love kids and you’re ready to learn, we’ll give you everything you need to thrive.

What ANNA Offers
  • Competitive Pay + Signing Bonus: $24–$26/hr starting pay. Earn $126 upon completing onboarding and an additional $400 after 6 months.

  • A Career Path That Actually Goes Somewhere: ANNA has a structured four-level BT ladder (BT1 to BT2 to BT3 to Senior BT) with pay increases tied to real clinical milestones and time. Eligible BTs can pursue BCBA sponsorship, with ANNA covering tuition for a Master’s in ABA.

  • RBT Certification Bonus: We reward candidates who come ready. Earn a bonus if you're already RBT certified by your start date, or if you complete your certification within your first two weeks.

  • Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) with company matching. Paid time off that grows with your tenure.

  • Consistent, Predictable Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. No evenings, no weekends, no travel.

  • Paid Training and Weekly Supervision: Two fully paid weeks of onboarding before you’re ever in a session solo. Weekly supervision and ongoing coaching from your BCBA throughout your career at ANNA.

  • A Team That Grows Together: Monthly team lunches, seasonal celebrations, summer events, and a community that genuinely supports each other.

Who This Role Is Great For

This role is a strong fit for people who love working with young children and want to build toward a career in autism therapy, ABA, or child development. Backgrounds that translate well: early childhood education, childcare, paraprofessional or direct support work, nanny or family care, or any experience in developmental or learning settings.

Prior ABA experience is not required. What we look for is warmth with young children, a steady and positive presence, and a genuine commitment to showing up.

What You’ll Do Every Day
  • Deliver 1-on-1, play-based therapy to autistic children under 6 using ANNA’s NDBI approach, following individualized plans written by your BCBA.

  • Collect accurate session data and document progress in real time using our electronic systems.

  • Share daily updates with families and build genuine, trusting relationships with caregivers.

  • Support children through transitions and daily routines in a calm, organized, and joyful clinic environment.

  • Participate in weekly supervision, training, and competency evaluations with your BCBA.

  • Help keep your therapy space safe, organized, and ready for great sessions.

Your Growth Path at ANNA

The BT career ladder at ANNA is named, transparent, and tied to real clinical milestones:

  • BT1 (Entry Level): Everyone starts here. At around 90 days, your BCBA reviews your performance and fidelity for promotion.

  • BT2: Growing independence and stronger clinical consistency.

  • BT3: High-fidelity practice, peer mentorship, and clinical ownership.

  • Senior Behavior Therapist: A named clinical leadership role available at every ANNA clinic.

  • BCBA Track: Top performers are eligible for full BCBA sponsorship, with ANNA covering tuition for a Master’s in ABA.

What We’re Looking For
  • Available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

  • Passionate about working with autistic children and excited to grow in the ABA field.

  • Warm, reliable, and a strong communicator.

  • A degree in Psychology, Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred but not required.

  • At least one year of experience working with children in any setting is preferred.

  • Comfortable with physically active work: sitting on the floor, kneeling, running, lifting up to 50 lbs, and staying close to children during sessions.

  • RBT certification is required. If you're not yet certified, you'll need to complete it within your first two weeks, and we offer a bonus for coming certified or certifying quickly.
