About the Role:

Xpress Logix is hiring CDL-A Team Drivers for FedEx Ground OTR linehaul routes. This position offers high mileage, no-touch freight, and reliable schedules for experienced team drivers.

  • 4,500+ miles per week
  • Up to $0.90 CPM (team split)
  • Out 5โ€“6 days (not more than 10 days)

Position Details:

The Class A CDL Driver plays a critical role in the transportation and logistics industry by safely operating commercial motor vehicles to deliver goods across various regions within the United States. This position requires the driver to manage long-haul or regional routes, ensuring timely and secure delivery while adhering to all federal, state, and local regulations. The driver will be responsible for maintaining the vehicle in optimal condition, performing routine inspections, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Effective communication with dispatchers, customers, and team members is essential to coordinate schedules and resolve any delivery challenges. Ultimately, the role contributes to the seamless supply chain operations that support businesses and consumers nationwide.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driverโ€™s License (CDL) issued by the state of residence, with minimum of 2 years experience
  • Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past three years.
  • Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug screening.
  • Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations, including hours-of-service rules.
  • Experience operating tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty commercial vehicles. Doubles endorsement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with long-haul or regional freight delivery. 1 years OTR
  • Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS navigation systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Customer service experience to effectively interact with clients during deliveries.
  • Additional endorsements such as Hazmat, Tanker, or Doubles/Triples.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently over long distances.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery records in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
