Bergen Community College is accepting applications for adjunct positions in the division of Health Professions for Fall and Winter 2026. Below are the disciplines we are currently hiring for and the requirements for each.


Division of Health Professions

The Division of Health Professions at Bergen Community College boasts ten fully accredited programs including Dental Hygiene, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Medical Office Assistant, Nursing, Paramedic Science, Radiation Therapy Technology, Radiography, Respiratory Care, and Veterinary Technology. One year Certificate programs include Surgical Technology and Medical Office Administrative Assistant. Our comprehensive programs incorporate extensive clinical training as well as rigorous didactic courses. Graduates of the Health Professions programs are prepared for entry-level positions at hospitals, private offices, freestanding clinics, and research facilities.

We are now accepting applications for the following fields:

Diagnostic Medical Sonography

  • Students interested in sonography can study diagnostic medical sonography to become a registered professional in the field.

Health Science

  • A post certification course of study to earn an associate’s degree for those individuals who have received education in a hospital sponsored programs

Medical Office Assistant

  • Students interested in administrative, clinical, and management duties in healthcare can be trained in medical office duties to become a certified medical assistant.

Paramedic Science

  • Students interested in providing emergency life support to patients in the pre-hospital environment can study to become licensed EMT’s and paramedics.

Respiratory Care

  • Students interested in respiratory care therapies and modalities can study to become certified respiratory care therapists in the field.

Surgical Technology

  • Students interested in surgical technology can study to become surgical technologists in the field.

Veterinary Technology

  • Students interested in animals and animal welfare can study to become veterinary technologists in the field.

Wellness and Exercise Science

  • Students interested in wellness, exercise science, and sports can study to enter the health and athletic fields.

Rates and Benefits:

  • Adjunct rates range from $922 to $960. The pay rates are $938 a credit for adjuncts who have obtained an Associates, $950 for a Bachelor's and $960 for a Master's.
  • Tuition Waiver for BCC courses for themselves or their dependents
  • ABP and 403b
