Job Summary
  • Seeking a Software Engineer to support enterprise knowledge management and data curation initiatives through the design, development, and execution of data processing and analytics solutions
  • This role focuses on performing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes across enterprise-wide data sets and contributing to scalable analytics capabilities within a collaborative, well-established team environment
  • The position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in GhostMachine Portable MapReduce analytics frameworks, supporting advanced data processing and mission-critical insights

Primary Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and manage large-scale enterprise data
  • Develop backend services and applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot
  • Support data curation, normalization, and enrichment to enable knowledge management and analytics use cases
  • Implement and maintain analytics workflows using GhostMachine and Portable MapReduce (PMR) frameworks
  • Integrate data pipelines and processing workflows using tools such as Apache NiFi and Notifier
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven solutions and operational requirements
  • Utilize GitLab for version control, CI/CD processes, and code management
  • Leverage Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) for task tracking, documentation, and team collaboration
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Support and represent technical processes such as AVP (Analytic Validation Process) and coordination with AVG (Analytic Validation Group)

Required Qualifications
  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
  • Strong experience with Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot
  • Experience developing ETL processes and working with large data sets
  • Familiarity with data processing frameworks and distributed computing concepts
  • Experience with version control systems such as GitLab
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and collaboration tools (Atlassian suite)

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with GhostMachine Analytics
  • Knowledge of Portable MapReduce (PMR) frameworks
  • Experience with Apache NiFi, Notifier, or similar data flow tools
  • Familiarity with AVP processes and experience representing to AVG
  • Background in enterprise data environments, knowledge management, or analytics platforms

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The pay range for this role is:
160,000 - 220,000 USD per year (NBP)
