Job Responsibilities
  • Healthcare Data Integration: Design, implement, and troubleshoot data exchange between healthcare information systems using the HL7 standard to ensure accurate, compliant, and seamless data flow.
  • Extensive experience working with healthcare data and understanding healthcare workflows.
  • Collaboration & Requirements Gathering: Work closely with operational, clinical, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, define key metrics, and translate business needs into effective BI solutions.
  • Execute SQL and SnowSQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from Snowflake and other healthcare data repositories, ensuring high data integrity and performance.
  • Perform rigorous testing and validation of migrated reports to Qlik and Power BI and ensure fidelity, accuracy, and performance compared to the original Tableau versions.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare data privacy standards and participate in change control and governance processes for BI assets.
  • Work in Agile sprints to plan, prioritize, and deliver migration milestones, including peer reviews, QA testing, and production deployment.
  • Data Modeling & ETL: Build and manage complex data models and ETL pipelines to integrate data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and flat files.
  • Document business logic, metadata mappings, and migration strategies for each report to support QA, training, and long-term maintenance by downstream teams.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization for large datasets and slow-loading dashboards, leveraging aggregations, query folding, and incremental refresh strategies.
  • Monitor usage metrics and integrated feedback loops to prioritize enhancements and address usability issues proactively.
  • Implement role-level and row-level security (RLS) strategies to ensure HIPAA-compliant access control across dashboards for physicians, administrators, and finance leaders.
