Join us as a Lab Assistant, where you'll be responsible for providing support to the department through a variety of laboratory assistance activities while putting your love of science to work in our environmental testing laboratory.

You'll receive all the training you need to successfully take on your new role and grow an exciting laboratory sciences career at Pace®.

What You’ll Do
  • Maintain and stock laboratory supplies, tools, and related materials.
  • Clean laboratory glassware according to GLP methods and maintain organized wash and storage areas.
  • Pick up, transport, and deliver glassware, samples, documents, materials, and other items as needed.
  • Assist with reviewing, completing, and processing documents, databases, and records related to sample handling and delivery.
  • Support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and laboratory procedures.
  • Contribute to departmental efficiency by offering suggestions and participating as an active team member.
  • Promote a positive work environment through professional, courteous, and cooperative interactions.
  • Assist with general laboratory operations to support scientists and laboratory staff.
What You’ll Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Related laboratory, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to maintain records, forms, and documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use tact, discretion, and sound judgment in interactions with coworkers and customers.
  • Valid driver's license may be required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds and frequently handle up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday.
  • Ability to read printed materials and computer screens and communicate effectively in person and by telephone.
Work Environment
  • Work may be performed in a laboratory, office, or field environment.
  • May involve travel between locations as needed.
  • Exposure to laboratory chemicals, fumes, gases, odors, weather conditions, and other environmental factors may occur.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and required when applicable.
