Job description

We are seeking Medical Lab Technician (MLT) - Hematology to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia.

Job Summary:
The Medical Lab Technician (MLT) - Hematology is responsible for performing routine hematology laboratory analyses and supporting regulated testing activities in accordance with SOPs and applicable regulatory requirements.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Perform and document routine hematology analytical procedures in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines
  • Analyze routine laboratory data to ensure procedures are performing within established tolerances
  • Identify, document, and escalate analytical deviations or unusual results to senior laboratory staff
  • Prepare and review data for upload into the LIMS system under guidance of senior personnel
  • Prepare buffers, reagents, and solutions required for hematology testing
  • Perform calibration and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment as assigned
  • Support quality investigations, deviations, and corrective actions
  • Guide entry-level staff and support onboarding and hands-on training activities
What We Are Looking For:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency with hematology laboratory techniques and regulated laboratory practices
  • Experience working with laboratory instrumentation and automated systems
  • Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:
  • Working knowledge of GLP and applicable regulatory standards within a laboratory environment
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform accurate laboratory calculations and data review
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and communicate clearly

Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $41,400.00 - $86,100.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
