As an Environmental Field Technician, you will be gaining valuable field experience while collecting specialized data from municipal water/wastewater systems which is used to help improve these systems. Responsibility Summary - Environmental Field Technician:

  • Installation of flow monitoring systems within sewer lines.
  • Installation of rainfall monitoring equipment.
  • Input data into basic software systems. 
  • Inspect sewer manholes manually or with telemonitoring equipment.
  • Operate and maintain instruments and equipment.
  • Accurately document inspections in a timely manner with detailed field notes.
  • Adhere to all the safety requirements of the position while assisting team members to do the same.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualification Summary - Environmental Field Technician:

  • High school diploma
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with the ability to operate a company vehicle
  • Ability to detect, resolve and report equipment issues (strong electrical and mechanical aptitude preferred)
  • Computer literacy with the ability to effectively utilize commonly used computer software programs
  • Ability to perform all of the physical requirements of position
  • Preferred experience/knowledge with field data collection
