Duties

  • Assist with pest identification and learn effective pest control strategies through on-the-job training
  • Safely handle and apply chemical agents used in pest management following strict safety protocols
  • Operate company vehicles and use hand tools, and ladders as needed for pest control tasks
  • Conduct outdoor inspections of properties to identify pest issues
  • Follow safety procedures related to ladder use, confined space entry, respiratory protection, and chemical handling
  • Communicate professionally with customers to explain treatment plans and answer questions about pest control services
  • Support integrated pest management practices by learning about entomology and pesticide management techniques

Qualifications

  • Willingness to learn pest control techniques and industry safety standards
  • Basic mechanical knowledge or experience with hand tools, or outdoor work is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle safely and responsibly
  • Experience or familiarity with ladder safety procedures, confined space entry safety procedures, respiratory protection, and chemical agent handling is beneficial but not required—training will be provided
  • Prior experience in outdoor work such as lawn care, landscaping or agriculture is advantageous
  • Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and adhere to pesticide application knowledge standards
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Clean background check
