Join Asplundh Engineering Services and gain hands‑on experience in utility distribution design. You’ll receive structured training, real‑world field exposure, and the support of a team invested in helping you build a long-term engineering career.

As an Engineering Technologist I, you will begin your engineering career by supporting electrical distribution design projects for major utility partners. You’ll collect field data, prepare cost‑effective designs, and learn to produce construction‑ready job plans. With structured training and mentorship, you’ll develop your technical skills and gradually move toward independent project work.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology OR minimum 1 year of related experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow technical standards and processes
  • CAD experience (AutoCAD or MicroStation) a plus, not required
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
