Job description

MORRIS & RITCHIE ASSOCIATES, INC. (MRA) is currently seeking an entry level Survey Field Technician / Helper for our Georgetown, DE office. This position assists the Survey Crew Chief with boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. Position requires the ability to carry up to 50 pounds and someone who enjoys working outdoors. An understanding of construction plans and stakeout techniques is preferred but not required.

What You'll Do:
  • Uses equipment such as tape, chains, sight rods, surveying and GPS instrumentation in conducting surveys
  • Creates field sketches to record engineering data
  • Operates truck, maintains survey equipment and tools
  • Assists crew chief and property line surveyor to accomplish goals

Requirements
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds
  • Basic mathematical abilities
  • Willingness and ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time
