Talent Responsibilities
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and process engineering documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive mechanical design and process engineering initiatives under the direction of the Head of Product Development of Components/Cable Assemblies.
  • Works to provide necessary tools and methods, measure performance based upon KPI's and continuously improve on product and process level
  • Implement and maintain AS9100 and ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems within mechanical design and process engineering functions. Ensure full compliance with legal, business, and safety requirements, collaborating with legal advisors as needed.
  • Works to ensure full compliance with legal and business requirements, with relevant standards, work-safety with the assistance of legal advisors where necessary.
  • Adheres to all regulations and guidelines contained within the Global Management System.
  • Reporting to Head Product Development of Components/Cable Assemblies and strong interfacing with all members of the Product Management and R&D Group.
  • Active involvement in weekly Product Development and Staff Review Meetings with Product Management and R&D Group.
  • Implements all management directives from the Head Product Development of Components/Cable Assemblies as specified and fully supports all management directives provided to the Product Management and R&D Department.
  • Provides technical support to the connector product and process engineering teams.
  • Must work well in a team environment with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, Sales and Finance Departments.
  • Represents the organization at customer or supplier meetings as required.
  • Travel for on-site customer and supplier meetings shall not be greater than 10% of the annual work time.
  • Responsible for the contract review- mechanical engineering, and Application and Process engineering support for all H+S product.
  • Ensures the timely and accurate flow of documentation to support the H+S Customer Support Team.
  • All other relevant duties as assigned.

Talent Profile
Education:
Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or other related field.
Experience:
1-3 years of manufacturing or aerospace experience.
Skills/Knowledge:
Working knowledge of rectangular and geometric tolerancing (per ANSI Y-14.5) and mastery of military and commercial specifications and requirements.
CATIAv5, Solidworks or AutoCAD LT.
Explicit, cogent and lucid communication skills in both internal and external organization venues.
Attention to detail and engineering control methods.
Capable of handling multiple tasks in parallel.
Ability to work in a fast paced, sales-oriented environment.
Self-motivated and ability to prioritize tasks.
Acute customer focus.
Understanding of other cultures.

Ability to handle change effectively.
Customer focus and an ability to manage customers and peers with tact and diplomacy.
Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds; ability to exercise cultural awareness and sensitivity.
