With a strong focus on data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency, Power & Energy Procurement leverages advanced tools and processes to connect the physical and digital supply chain, enabling business units to deliver high-performance solutions that meet evolving customers and business needs.**Role Definition**We are seeking a **Facility Procurement Manager** to lead procurement functions for Caterpillar Defense. This role will support U.S. and UK based Cat Defense products and teams and interacts closely with members of the broader Procurement organization. **What You Will Do:*** Leading the execution of delivering a lean, responsive, and resilient material and services flow for the facility from source to dock and additional required points.* Managing a global team that is responsible for operating and monitoring the supply network procurement functions to meet the defined response time, cost, quality, and lean targets enabling optimal and efficient facility operations.* Ensuring the supplier network is capable of meeting the business unit’s specific Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, Management (QCLDM) requirements.* Collaborating with business partners and suppliers and resolving facility specific supplier issues.**What You Will Have:****Initiative:** Being proactive and committing to action on self-identified job responsibilities and challenges; ability to seek out work and the drive to accomplish goals.Level Extensive Experience:* Cites personal examples of persistence in the face of difficulties.* Takes calculated risks because of orientation to action.* Promotes learning by sharing diverse scenarios in which a sense of urgency was critically important.* Maintains sense of commitment to success, personal achievement and satisfaction.* Proceeds without seeking unnecessary permission* Coaches others on leveraging their strengths in one environment and applying them to another.**Relationship Management**: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.Level Extensive Experience:* Communicates to clients regarding expectations of all parties.* Participates in negotiating the terms of the business relationship.* Conducts periodic reviews of work effort, progress, issues, and successes.* Maintains productive, long-term relationships with clients or vendors.
