Job description

Come join a dedicated team of Community Development professionals as a Community Development Project Inspector I.

PTRC needs an individual who has an interest in developing skills in building construction and energy efficiency trades. This person will work with the intent to successfully administer government compliance and assistance programs related to housing, weatherization, rehabilitation and general community development. This an entry level position and will be required to learn code compliance, conduct energy audits, and construction inspections. Also, will learn to generate work orders, bid specifications, and assessing quality of completed work for the Regional Council's Community Development programs.

Ability to conduct inspections throughout the Community Development programs (section 8, Weatherization, Essential Single-Family Rehab and CDBG block grants) as standards specify. The successful candidate will demonstrate a responsible work history exercising a pattern of reliability and independent work, as well as, an interest in developing a greater skill set and increasing work assignments and responsibilities. Work is performed as part of community development solutions team including CD Program Intake personnel, CD Operations manager and is performed under the leadership of the CD Project Supervisors.
